Stage 3 - Follow UpStage 1 - ConsultationA consultation will be arranged between you and our implant dentist. This will last around 45 minutes and you will be presented with a treatment plan. The dentist will talk through your options and talk you through treatment fees.
Stage 2 - TreatmentFollowing on from a CBCT scan, we will arrange a second appointment to place the implant. This is a simple procedure performed under local anaesthetic. Sedation is available for nervous patients. We then allow around three months for the implant to integrate with the jawbone. You will be provided with temporary teeth so you won’t have gaps in your smile during this time.
At your next appointment, we review the integration and take impressions for the denture. The cosmetic denture will be crafted with your input – you will be asked about the shape and shade of the teeth and the gums. Once you are happy with the results, we fit the implant retained denture and your smile makeover is complete.
Stage 3 - Follow UpYou will have full input in the design of the dentures. You will also have the opportunity to give feedback on your dentures to your dentist.
A new set of bespoke dentures will be crafted which are made to be supported by the implants. We cannot use existing dentures that are made to sit on the gums.
You will spend less than 3 hours in-chair over four appointments. However, you must wait for the implants to integrate with the jawbone which can take between 3-6 months.
The number of implants required can vary from case to case. The upper jaw can require a minimum of 4 implants, whereas a lower jaw may only need 2 implants.
