How the Inman Aligner treatment process works
The Inman aligner works by putting a small amount of pressure on the teeth. The brace is made of titanium coil springs that work in concert with the aligner bows to gently move teeth into their desired position.
The inner bow pushes outward on the teeth while the outer bow pulls them inward, quickly straightening them with a single aligner.
Simple cases can take as little as a month to complete treatment, whereas more severe bite conditions in the front teeth can be treated within four months.
Inman aligners have an extremely high success rate. If you wear your aligners diligently and follow all care instructions from your dentist, you can expect to have straighter teeth in just a few weeks.
Though the device is removable, the aligner should be worn 20 hours per day for best results. The treatment only works if the teeth are placed under gentle but constant pressure.

Guide to removable braces
When you return home with your aligner, you are expected to wear it for 16-20 hours a day. If you choose to wear it for less than this, your treatment time may increase. We will arrange regular check-ups at our practice every 2-3 weeks throughout the treatment to perform any additional IPR and determine whether buttons need to be repositioned.
As with any orthodontic appliance, the aligner system can feel slightly uncomfortable for the first few days. However, after a week, most patients report no discomfort from the aligners.
You can expect the Inman Aligner to affect your speech within the first week or so. After this period, you will acclimate to the appliance and, over time, speak more effectively with it.
For the best results with the Inman Aligner, compliance is paramount. The treatment will only work if you wear it every day for the allotted time, which is a maximum of 20 hours.
Yes, all orthodontic treatments require a retainer to avoid the risk of relapse. Inman Aligners, in this respect, are no different. This may be a retainer you wear at night or a fixed retainer.
